You're likely familiar with the "HF Boards trade proposal" in Puck Daddy's "What We Learned" piece every Monday. It highlights some trade proposals that would reduce any normal GM to tears if it were actually real. There's certainly nothing bad about rosterbating but there's a line and, when it comes to jumping in a rocketship and blasting right over that line, we have the CDC.
Note we're not bashing them entirely; there are plenty of good topics and discussion to sift through. But we're all aware the lowest common denominator thrives alongside them and no where is that more evident than knee jerk trade proposals that should have never been spoken or written down for others to mock. Too late for some.
I love them. You love them. Time to celebrate today's best of the worst:
- The Sedins for Getzlaf and Perry. Best comment: "ya id do it there canadian,big/skilled, and have cup rings if you wouldnt do it you are an idiot". YOU'RE AN IDIOT IF YOU WOULDN'T.
- Luongo & Samuelsson to Tampa for Malone, Ashton, 27th pick, and rights to Roloson. Best reason: "Samuelsson is a veteran who has won a cup and will be a welcome addition for Tampa to replace Malone on the roster." Not included: Yzerman is out of cell phone and gun range.
- Three trades: (1) Carter for Hodgson, Glass, Salo, 2011 Second Pick; (2) Boychuk for Ballard, Parent, MacGregor Sharp and 2011 Third Pick; (3) Dustin Brown for Alberts, Samuelsson, Shirokov, Tambellini and 2011 4th Pick. I present this gem without commentary.
