Wicked

something to do with hockey. Beautiful hockey game, unreal how all that was talked of today was Burr

it was a beautiful hockey game, and not just because we won. Amazing saves all night from both goalies and a dramatic ending :)

The players were very undisciplined and I didn’t like all the penalties as a result. But still, a solid game indeed!

I would have to agree on the discipline and I also didn’t like the parade of penalties. It also seems to throw off the flow of the game when there are so many like that

yeah that's true

was quite sloppy. 8 days rest and ~5 for the Bruins, was bound to be some rust. Saturday should be a cracker

they got a good flow going in the third.

the Canucks dominated most that period.

Works for me.

Nuck’s Misconduct Bishop, 1st United Church of Luongod. "He’s cocky and confident enough and he’s the wild card," said one NHL source. "They [Bruins] have no answer for Kesler." Province 5/30/11.

I didn't feel they dominated

But a lot of people do so hopefully you’re right. I think the needing to shake the rust off is accurate, except for the goalies, and hopefully we’ll see more in game 2.

semantics I guess

They were the better team, had the better chances, and outshot them 14 to 10 in the only period without special teams play. Works for me!

Yeah

And I guess our third line was better than theirs which was a concern.

by Canuckelhead on Jun 3, 2011 1:37 AM PDT via mobile up reply actions

I think we outchanced

them 8-0 in the 3rd, but I could be wrong. That ,if accurate, is the most significant stat of the game. Boston’s shots were on the outside with the trash dutifully picked up, kinda like a lot the 5-on-5 against SJ. AV said that the Canucks were a little surprised by the Bruins’ aggression (the tapes hadn’t shown them to be so) and it took them till halfway through to fully adjust.

We’ll see Saturday (Sunday for me).

by sonzai on Jun 3, 2011 2:31 AM PDT up reply actions

Yes

But the third period was a lot better, at least after all the icings

"Playin hurt, baby that don't faze me. I don't got time for pain. The only pain I've got time for is the pain I put on fools who don't know what time it is!"

"You can't come in my kitchen, kick my dog, and take a box full of ballpoints! Your ass must be crazy!"
