I loved watching this guy play. Can’t believe he’s dead at such a young age. RIP Boogeyman.

There was no one like him which is why, as a member of the Wild, he gave us such nightmares. Remember the Pinky and the Brain stuff with the twins? Gold.

Condolences to his family friends and all who will miss him
I have a bad feeling whenever I hear about people dying alone. Especially famous people or people under pressure. You just know its not going to make it any easier on his family when they figure out why :(. So sad ..

No thanks needed. I said over at the Wild site we’re all fans of these players regardless of the team and no one wants to see a story like this. It’s tough to think a guy who just had this fresh start on a new team at that age being gone. It sucks.

I went back and found the most lopsided tilt he had against Vancouver (at least in terms of votes). Here he is against Brookbank in 2005, complete with falling to the ice, popping back up and eventually tagging him hard and dropping him.

A young man, far too young, taken. It is tragic indeed.
Times like this we need to remember that whatever team these guys play for, whatever their style or role, they are people with families and friends. We have to keep it all in perspective. I hope his memory brings comfort to those who knew and loved him.

Had the pleasure of watching him in jr when he played in Prince George. Will go down in history as one of the toughest big men to ever lace them up in the NHL, just look at the results of any player poll when asked who is at the top. Sad sad day and condolences to friends and family, the hockey community lost a good one today.

Times like this, you really come to see what a tight knit community hockey is — player & fan wise. I never saw him play or knew anything about him really besides the on ice tough guy persona but I felt the impact of his death as if I did watch him play & knew everything about him. It’s a 30 team league and the fan base spans countries & continents alike, but when players & personnel die it affects all of us because it’s all related to the game we love.
THE 8 WORDS I HOPE TO ONE DAY HEAR: "THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS HAVE WON THE STANLEY CUP"

I am obsessed with the Canucks. I have envisioned the day they win the Stanley Cup several times in my head. I am also a diehard Britney Spears fan (don't judge).
Feel bad for friends and family that found him. Tough news to hear, much less for them to bear witness and have to deal with it.
