Nashville, huh? A team that has been made of sandpaper for a decade, with the few scoring stars brought in getting their numbers shaved. A team that shoots from anywhere, so scores from anywhere - just not very often. There are no scoring stars in the forward cast now, so the danger is evenly spread.
And what do you do about that?
Fight the "four third lines" Nashville has with two first lines, for starters. Line match-ups are going to be utterly irrelevant for Vancouver in this series: it's going to be a five-man unit the Sedins will have to skate through. Don't just roll lines, but have all of them on the attack.
Use the Predators' own tactics against them: set the defenders you want against Erat's line, plus whatever forwards are on the ice at the time. Free Kesler to be an offensive threat every time he hits the ice. Maybe dress seven defense each game, or six and a quarter if Salo's in.
And remember games 4 and 5: never, ever think there's going to be an easy game; and never play like you've won until you have.
That being said, Coconuts go!
