I don't know how many of you remember the first round series between the Blackhawks and Predators last year but there is a little story from game 5 that involves Dan Hamhuis and Marian Hossa. The series was tied 2-2 and the Preds were doing their damndest to hold off the Hawks, up 4-3 late in the 3rd period. With just over a minute left this happened:

Ouch! Hossa gets a 5 minute major for boarding and doesn't even get ejected. Good thing Hammer was alright. Chicago pulls their

goalie to make it a 5 on 5 and with about 14 seconds left....

You gotta be f*cking kidding me. 4-4! Now probably the most terrible part of this story is this: The Preds put the pressure on the Hawks in OT up a man because of the Hossa major but can't bury them. Marianne's penalty expires and he jumps onto the ice and charges into the play in the Preds' zone and literally seconds later this happens:

Wow. Of all people. Don't think for one second Dan Hamhuis has forgotten about this. He hates the Hawks, this I know is fact. I hope there are some huge hipchecks awaiting Marianne Hossa. Payback is a bitch, you fiend. Chicago would beat the Preds in Game 6 and win the series 4-2. It could have been different. So close.
