Not only have the Canucks beat the Blue Jackets in all 3 games this season, they have also beat them in the last 6 straight games, outscoring them 27-15. The Jackets will not make the playoffs this season. Any chance for that fell apart in March, where they have a 2-6-6 record. As you can see on the hot/cold list below nobody is really stepping up and scoring for the team except..as usual..Rick Nash...who you wonder if he's getting sick of that shit. Their power play is 28th in the NHL. Stick a fork in them they are done.
The Canucks have already eclipsed franchise records for points and road wins. Sick road record. They have won 7 road games in a row. They are 1 win away from 50 for the season. They are 9 points ahead of Philadelphia and a colossal 12 points ahead of Detroit. The win over Atlanta was great in that Roberto Luongod remains on fire and that players not named Sedin got on the scoresheet. Great to see Mason Raymond break his little funk and I hope he can continue to contribute.
-why do the Sedins suck at shootout attempts?
-Is Maxim Lapierre the new "Death To Scoring Chances"? I'm starting to wonder.
-Expect a much more physical contest in this one.

"I love shootouts, Murph," said Luongo after that one. Here is the entire shootout from the last meeting:
This is fitting for a Sunday:
