Not only have the Canucks beat the Blue Jackets in all 3 games this season, they have also beat them in the last 6 straight games, outscoring them 27-15. The Jackets will not make the playoffs this season. Any chance for that fell apart in March, where they have a 2-6-6 record. As you can see on the hot/cold list below nobody is really stepping up and scoring for the team except..as usual..Rick Nash...who you wonder if he's getting sick of that shit. Their power play is 28th in the NHL. Stick a fork in them they are done.

The Canucks have already eclipsed franchise records for points and road wins. Sick road record. They have won 7 road games in a row. They are 1 win away from 50 for the season. They are 9 points ahead of Philadelphia and a colossal 12 points ahead of Detroit. The win over Atlanta was great in that Roberto Luongod remains on fire and that players not named Sedin got on the scoresheet. Great to see Mason Raymond break his little funk and I hope he can continue to contribute.

Star-divide

-why do the Sedins suck at shootout attempts?

-Is Maxim Lapierre the new "Death To Scoring Chances"? I'm starting to wonder.

-Expect a much more physical contest in this one.

Been going with 4-1, so thats it again.

Has to hit sometime, right math folks? Or is it entirely random each time?

Maxim Lapierre…just cuz.

How come all the guys I am so close with

Are taking the same score but the bigger scorers?

No confidence in Max reading Sean spurning him and relpying on the ice?

Or is the math really in my favor this time? I would think if it is a score that comes true X amount of percent, and I have already picked it like 4-5 times in the last 7-8 games, surely that means we have an advantage as far as the math goes, right?

Or does the math mean that each game is truly random?

Damn, I wisg Charlie Epps was here, that Numbers show always explains it so cool.

It’s not truly random, but it’s fairly random.

If X score occurs Y percent of the time, and you’ve predicted X score several times recently (without reward), your odds don’t increase this time due to the other unsuccessful predictions.

Since I think I’ve completely mangled that explanation and confused everything further, and assuming I’ve properly grasped what it is you were saying, here’s a good reference.

That is what I wondered

Thanks. Didn’t know it even had an official name.

Its pretty popular today. 4 out of 22. 18% of the predictions. Hmmmmmmm…

Everytime I go for an unusual score I’m wrong, so I stopped tipping raffi/mayray/hanson for GWG and predicting blowouts. Pretty much all my points have come from Burrows/Dank so I’ll go with what’s working
