Schneider's the real deal: either sell high on him after a successful post season or work him into the core.
I think it rides on this season. If they go all the way, then maybe you sell high on Schneider. If not then you have to keep him for next year’s run and MG will figure out in the negotiation process if Schneider wants to stay or not. Lack is possibility, but I can see MG going back to the Sanford’s and Labarbera’s of the world. Check the waivers/AHL now, plenty of capable goalies who can pitch in 15-20 games admirably, though certainly not with Schneider’s pedigree.

The Canucks are going to be competitive over the next few years with the core signed long term. There is no way they ask Luongo to waive his NTC in the coming years. I think Schneider gets dealt in the summer at the earliest.
