For the second consecutive game the Canucks play a team that is last in their Conference. Normally, this would be
a feeding frenzy for an upper echelon team like Vancouver. But no, they pissed away their last game against the lowly Blue Jackets.
Please Canucks, for the love of God, you took a night off last game (except Luongo). Now go out there and bury these punk Hurricanes. Don't make me angry. You have to beat these shitty teams, in regulation, without f*cking around and taking half the night off.

don't get lost in the hype
i believe that genuine respect is there in most, if not all, of these cases. What’s said in the press, in blogs, or amidst fans is so different than the exchange of comments during the end-of-series lineups. And the respect goes both ways, I suspect.

The one year anniversary of my younger brother’s passing brought some nice notes from friends. One of them wrote a story about how he and this friend would fish with bobbers on their anual fishing trip in Canada. “No one fishes with bobbers in Canada,” one of their friends disgustingly noted at the time.
Yet, they always caught a lot of fish.
So my fine feathered Canucks I pose the question to you; do any of you use bobbers when you fish?

It’s tough on all of us, especially my mom. He was the youngest of nine kids that my mom had in nine years. Can you imagine the conversations we had at the dinner table. (And believe me you were not late for dinner!) Once we started talking about who mom and dad liked the best and Jim chirped in, “They wanted a great one, so they kept going until they got to me. :)”
Hopefully he’s reeling in a trophy right now in that big fishing hole in the sky. You know that song don’t you, “There’s a better, fishing hole awaiting, in the sky Lord, in the sky.”

My family and I camped all the way up the East Coast of Vancouver Island...
and took a sail boat ride down the Johnstone Straight. we dad Orcas swim 5 feet away fro our boat.
On another trip, we rtented a house on Quadra Island,(really reasonable) and kayaked, fished and visited Strathcona Provincial Park. My son and I wne tout with a guide salmon fishing. We caught only on that day – the day before every guide boat was coming in with 5 or 6 monsters.
The one fish I caught we had to throw back in because it was a wild salmon. When we came back to the dock my wife, daughter and mother and father in law were on the dock waving and expecting us to have caught dinner that night.
They didn’t believe we didn’t cathc anything – all the guides were coming back empty handed that morning.
I’d like to take you up on the fishing, it’s pretty expensive out of the resorts!
I love the Northwest. My inlaws retired in Port Angles and we’ve come out every summer for the past 14 years – this was the first one we missed, a combination of bad economy and high airfare.

and the blowout I predicted for the Western Conference cellardweller, will occur tonight.

Super Schneids is Back
Ginger Jesus continues to increase his trade value 3-0 Canucks. As a bonus (albeit a sad one) Jeff Skinner is out so I have no one on my fantasy team playing against us. I’m feeling a Kes 2 goal night including the winner. The other is a “Button” goal Burr from Hank and Dank. Called a “Button” because my brothers and I figure they just have a preloaded button for announcing that goal. The previous button was Naslund from Bertuzzi and Morrison.
