Canuck coach Alain Vigneault is expected to brief reporters later today on the status of Kesler and defenceman Keith Ballard, who also missed practice after leaving Wednesday's game with a back injury.
That from the Vancouver Sun. Kesler was not at practice. Luongo practiced early but it was not a full practice for him. Vigneault, according to Tony Gallagher was bag skating the boys this morning and calling them out.
Also, Eddie Lack has been sent back down to Chicago. The Canucks don't play again until Sunday.
Update: Via the Canucks twitter feed: Mason Raymond has been cleared for contact, Luongo is day to day, no timetable for Ballard's return (back) and Kesler (shoulder) should be ready to play on Sunday.

Who knows that will manage to light a fire under the collective asses on the players on this team. Its not like they can look back at the season so far and be proud of it! And a difference from other teams that play bad but can’t help it, we can! This team is so much better…

Mark Recchi felt the need to go on a Boston radio show today to exclaim the Canucks were the most arrogant team he’d faced in 22 years in the NHL. Anyone else getting sick of:
a) this nonsense from the Bruins
b) Mark Recchi himself? From his amateur practice as a physician to spouting off after he’s safely retired, this guy has last the last ounce of my respect I had for him. If Recchi is doing an interview in Boston, you know the Canucks are going to come up. So it’s not like he sought out this topic.
I don’t buy the arrogance thing though. Obviously I don’t know these players personally, but I’ve followed the team for 10 years. I’d like to think I have a decent read on the personality/character of the team.
However, Recchi’s recent experience with the Canucks is 1 reg season game and 7 SCF games. Based on the shenanigans of the latter 7, I could see how he got that impression.
Aaron Rome once had an awkward moment, just to see how it feels.
