I know a lot of you like to apologize for Luongo's goaltending but tonight was clearly a night where he needed to get a shutout. Sure, the Canucks won, but there is still that glaring little gaff that can't be ignored. We can pretend like winning is the only thing that matters, but deep down every member of Canucks nation knows that if we had a goalie worth wearing the leaping orca he would have shut the door and made this a DECISIVE victory over a known rival. You can whine all you want about how hard it is to get a shutout in the NHL but Henrick Lundquist managed 11 last year and Tim Thomas had 9. At his salary Luongo should, at the very least, match those numbers.  This was the perfect opportunity to do that and he blew it. Couple this with the fact that i've proven him to be a jerk and the mosaic is complete. Another night and further proof that Luongo doesn't deserve the 10 million he gets this year. Hey Lou, we're paying you that money so that you don't let ANY goals in.
