I would be concerned
if leaders in our locker room were more worried about personal scoring slumps than how the team is doing. If he is a leader in that room he has every right to ask these questions. Let’s see what kind of answer we get tonight.

Son of Sam has been on a team that has won a cup. He knows the mentality thats needed, the focus and drive. And despite the way the ball is rolling, I trust in his assumption that the team isn’t there yet. Last year, we didn’t have the pieces we needed, for reasons we all know. This year I believe we do. And I think Sam knows it. If he steps up to the plate of leadership like he did last year in the post season, I think we can go all the way

It occurs to me
that right now, the canucks kinda suck offensively. All our offense is coming from three guys. THREE GUYS! And yet we’re getting points. ‘Elite teams find a way to win’. It does feel awesome to know that this team can find alternate ways. Also, thank goodness for loser points.
