Anson Carter Talks Canucks, Money and Sedins

Carter_medium The 2005-06 season was a treat to watch with the Sedins and Anson Carter finding instant chemistry. Carter scored 33 goals and 55 points that year. When the season ended he wanted a 3-year $3 million contract. The Canucks offered him 2 years at $1.8 million. Carter thinks he was low-balled. That he'd be spending more time here.

Nope. Off to Columbus and Carolina he went where he did not enjoy the same success and then went to the Swiss League for a year.

He now lives in Atlanta and operates Big Up Entertainment, a hip hop record label that he founded.

Ed Willies has more from Carter in his Province article. I find the title very misleading.

You'll want to read what Carter says about playing with the Twins. I gotta say, I missed Carter for quite a while because the Canucks never really found a suitable replacement for him on that line until Burrows stepped up to the plate. Burrows is even more effective in all of the games than Carter was and settled for a multi-year $2 million deal. Bless your heart Burr.
