"I'm not sure who is going to wear the 'C' or 'A' but, I gotta be honest, I think it's probably less important than people make it out to be," Linden said Wednesday while promoting his new business venture, Club 16 — Trevor Linden Fitness. "I think the whole situation has been blown a bit out of proportion."

— Linden then talks about regardless of who wears the captaincy, Luongo is still a great player and leader and players will come to him for advice/leadership anyway. While that may be true, this doesn't explain Luongo's decline in performance since he was named captain.
