How to tell a true, dyed-in-the-wool Sedin fan from the Johnny-come-latelies jumping on the band wagon after Henrik's Hart/Art Ross wins
With Henrik Sedin breaking into the league's upper tier last season by winning the scoring race, the Art Ross trophy that goes with it and the Hart trophy for league MVP that automatically seems to go to the highest scorer if it doesn’t go to a goalie, there are suddenly plenty of newly minted Sedin fans around.
So how do you tell the real twin-touters from the flavour-of-the-month variety?
Here are some useful tips:
1. Real Sedin fans know that Henrik is the centre and Daniel is the left winger.
2. Real Sedin fans know that the twins have been scoring at or near the point a game level since 2005-2006.
3. Real Sedin fans knew before the TSN video countdown that Daniel’s between the legs goal in the final game of last season was the "play of the year".
4. Real Sedin fans know that while the lads are almost indistinguishable, Henrik is actually taller than Daniel.
5. Real Sedin fans know that Ornskoldsvik is not a terminal illness but the hometown of the Sedins, Naslund and Forsberg (and some can even pronounce it).

Damn bandwagoners? For me, I think I can tell them apart now. Hanks head is a little wider, but its subtle.
Hank is older by 8 minutes right? A real Sedin fan should know that.
A must read from Vanity Fair's "Sarah Palin ; the Sound and the Fury by Michael Joseph Gross. No matter your politics...this is no real leader.
( in Wasilla ) Sometimes when she went out in public, people were unkind. Once, while shopping at Target, a man saw Palin and hollered, "Oh my God! It’s Tina Fey! I love Tina Fey!" When other shoppers started laughing, the governor parked her cart, walked out of the store, and drove away.
I knew Hank was older, but...
… I didn’t know about the eight minutes gap. Darn. I should have known that.

Real Sedin fans
know they were pretty damn good pkers before they became 1st liners, and before that the only reason they “took so long to develop” was because Crawford refused to give them an opportunity to play top six minutes, and that even now they’ve never really had a 1st line talent winger to play with.
Real Sedin fans know almost every winger that’s played with them has had career years, from Carter to Burrows to Samuelsson etc.
You never know what you don't know until you know it.
Excellent point!
Every winger they get does indeed have a career year. In fact, its hard to think of anyone this side of Gretzky who has a more positive effect on his linemates point totals.

What about Crosby
the guy carries two wingers every year. You see the numbers he puts up on the PP with Malkin on his wing and you think he could put up some serious numbers if he had decent wingers. I haven’t looked at the stats just thought off the top of my head he might be a guy who makes his linemates better.

Crosby is a great example.
Savard is another, though he gets no credit for it.
The Sedins have had a few guys that didn’t succeed, but that is just because so many over the years have been tried there. King? Bernier? Strangely enough, at even strength, I never thought Nazzy really clicked all the time with the Twins. Moments, sure. Pretty good on the PP too.
The last two I like. Burrows and Sammy.
Rosterbation? The rumour of Heater was interesting just for the thought of the Twins setting up that lethal shot.

I put Rick Nash with the Sedins
on NHL 2010 and he led the league in points.

Ooohh…I change my mind.
I like that even more. He was a great two way player, in addition to his other talents, at the Olympics.

uh uh uh!
So much Rosterbation! And I would love to see Nash play with the Sedins. Someone get him out of Columbus!

Wow.
I dream if this line up!
Kinda choked the only time I can really see Nash play is either against Vancouver or internationally. I really, really, really like Nash.
Im thinking
I might get a Team Canada shirt with Nash on the back.

Get a canucks one
…and see if dreams really do become reality if you wish hard enough. Maybe slip the CBJ’s GM a roofie and get him to sign the much vaunted Nash for Bieksa and Hordichuk trade papers too while you’re at it.
I refuse to have a sigline included with each of my posts. You can't make me!
Im about
to kidnap his family and make him sign the papers.

He's got a pretty long term contract there
I feel like he doesn’t want out. Which is too bad. His talent is really wasted there

Y'Know...
…I’d be just as happy if he made that team a competitor. I don’t like when teams don’t get into the playoff rotation for a decade or more, I just don’t think it helps anyone.
Best of luck to him there, and I hope he does well. But, y’know, if he ever wants to come out west…
I kind of think they are a dark…ok reallly dark..horse team this year.
If Howson and Arniel can get Filatov situated, they have some players. Kris Russell is an underrated defenseman…for one.
Mason can get back on his game and make them a playoff contender all on his own.

Ive been saying this for a couple of months and been getting nothing but blank stares or hysterical laughter.
Haters gotta hate DD …haters gotta hate.
They are in a tough division. Got to show it there first versus the big two and the other two growing teams.
I love Arniel as a coach though. They will try to play like the Canucks,, but maybe an ’07 version until they ca score more.

Neither Bernier
nor Naslund had much of a chance with them, and Bernier was pretty young still, I still say if they had put Naslund with the twins when the WCE started to falter we would have had two deadly lines instead of one.
You never know what you don't know until you know it.
Imagine Iginla with them?
I’d drool every time they crossed the blueline. But it can’t be ignored that whoever they play with seems to become an offensive threat. Hell even King looked pretty good with them and where is he now? Playing in the womans league in Finland or something…..
Don’t get me wrong, Burrows is a heck of a player, but if he looses the spot on their line he’s a twenty goal man not a thirty guy.
I agree
about Burrows, and insert-player-here playing with the Sedins. They do tend to turn everyone into goal-scoring machines. Just don’t put anyone with them who we want to resign in a contract year! ;)

A must read from Vanity Fair's "Sarah Palin ; the Sound and the Fury by Michael Joseph Gross. No matter your politics...this is not presidential material...is it?
(In Wasilla) When I ask about Palin, though, a palpable unease creeps in. Some people clam up. Others whisper invitations to call later—but on this number, not that one, and not before this hour or after that one. So many people answer "Off the record?"

A real Sweed knows what Örnköldsvik is translated to ...
Örnsköldsvik ore a you Canadians spell it Ornskoldsvik.
Örn – Orn = Eagle
Sköld – Skold = Shield “you must heard about Vikings, with swoard and shields?”
Vik – vik = bay " vikings was famous with there bouts, they could come all the way up on the bay, they didn´t need a harbour."
So Ornskoldsvik must be EagleShieldBay.
