PrintA few changes via the Canucks Report to look for tonight:
- Pierre-Olivier Morin will skate on the top line with Bill Sweatt and Jordan Schroeder
- Steven Anthony replaces Stefan Schneider on the third line
- The fourth line will be James Henry, Stefan Schneider and Tayler Jordan
- The second line of Prab Rai, Alex Friesen and Matt Fraser will remain intact
- Evan Oberg and David Fischer will sit in favor of Adam Polasek and Kris Fredheim
- Taylor Ellington with Sawyer Hannay and Kevin Connauton with Chris Tanev round out the defense
- Sir Eddie Lack will man the pipes again

While I don’t think that’s really that much of a loss (in terms of actual quality – there is no sure thing in that group, and the players are fairly average at best), that’s a good amount of depth for a one-direction player.

Tanev has good reviews if you study up on him. I yakked at a guy from R.I.T. (where Tanev played) and he couldn’t say enough good things about him

He took me by surprise that game, that’s for sure! Hockey Future doesn’t even have him in their top 20.
Kinda would have liked to have seen Dan Gendur playing, though. His numbers have just collapsed since he turned pro, but he’s an absolute beast for speed – Prab Rai kind of speed. Well, maybe in a few years.
I missed
the Canucks game due to soccer practice, but from the looks of the highlights and the score, Tanev, Rai and Volpatti are all looking good.
