not sure who found it…saw it bounced around on twitter for a bit. I’m more amazed Forsberg is standing. How great would the spot have been if he just suddenly fell to the ground?

that would have been gold. solid gold, haha. He burns his hand on the heating element, jumps up and down holding his hand screaming in pain and then bammo, falls to the ground screaming even louder, not knowing whether to hold his burning hand or his broken foot.

I have no doubt the Scandinavians all look down upon the others.

though, it’s barely a rivalry when the other part (coughfinlandcough) forgets to show up every single time…

i think the olympic hockey can defy that statement…..

because finland has long history of beating sweden when it matters?

well, in 2010 for women’s hockey, yes.
as for the men’s, at least finland made it to the medal rounds.

WTF?!?
That was really weird. Like is the humour just that these famous Ornskoldvsikians(?) are working in a kitchen? Or is is not even supposed to be funny? There’s no punchline, no overt reference to the fact that it’s famous hockey players making the food, etc. Maybe Swedish celebrity endorsements are just more subtle than, say, the Don Docksteader Volkswagen ads they do over here?
Bizarre and entertaining… I just don’t get it!

Yup. Which is why we constantly need to break out the ‘googe translate’ machine around here.

Yeah I know they are big time in their home country. I just thought the ad would, y’know, exploit that more rather than just showing them making food. I can’t tell if the restaurant is just trying to associate itself with celebrity or if the ad is supposed to somehow be humorous and I just don’t get it… Maybe I’m just overthinking this way too much! :)

I’m fairly certain it’s supposed to be humourous, implying that they have superstar chefs or something. Perhaps the guy who is doing the dishes is meant to be someone who is famous for being a workhorse or plugger or something like that (don’t know who he is).

well, they are famous and all but you hear surprisingly little about them in sweden…i really think it is much easier for them to get away from the spotlight over here than across the pond in canada and US…i havent read or seen one article about either one of them in quite some time…good for them, leaves them more time to cook
Hey man – have you heard of this place?

Just read somewhere that Joseph Gordon-Leavitt might be playing the Riddler in Nolan’s next Batman installment.
