PrintInitial reports that Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo threw a massive house party with open bar and exotic entertainment were confirmed to be false, however Luongo went on to comment that he "wished I could've thrown such a party". The story was generated in the aftermath of a Blackhawks trade that sent Dustin Byfuglien to the Eastern Conference.
When asked what he thought about Byfuglien's new home in Atlanta, Luongo said, "oh, Atlanta? I didn't really pay attention to the team, I'm just happy to see him out of the conference."
In a related story, the Canucks top defensemen were seen partying hard at a high-end nightclub shortly after the news broke.
