I tuned in late in the first at 2-1, and Chicago owned the last 45 minutes for sure. Luongo played welll, and Canucks could have stolen it if somebody had finished one of the chances. But the better club on the night won the game.

5-1 ass whipping in game 1
1-0 90 secs in, 5-3 PK = 2-0 <5 minutes in. It was deja vue all over again from game 1, we saw it, you guys saw it (Note predictions of sweep on your site at same time). It sucked, and I was afraid of a really crappy game 2 and rest of series!

Exactly. The Canucks let up and failed. On the 3-2 goal they were acting like they were on the PK. WTF? Niemi had 3/4 of the night off
That’s what pissed me off most. It’s like we couldn’t handle the way we dominated in game one so the gameplan for game two was to sit back and try and coddle the lead to the buzzer. I just don’t get why. We’ve lost every time when we’ve done that against the Blackhawks. I mean, come on, Niemi was a sieve last game and we muster 6 shots in the second and what, 7 in the third? So stupid.

What the hell Vigneault?
I hate the way he coaches us. This isn’t a knee-jerk reaction, I have always felt this way and until he proves me wrong (so far I’m winning) I will continue to say this. I know a lot of you will probably defend him but this is the same stupid, fucking defense-first style we played and lost with last year against the same team. Why the hell do we start trying to protect a lead with a dump and change game when we know that the Blackhawks are a strong offensive team? We beat them when we match chances as we are better offensively than they are. Why did we dominate last game (aside from Chicago not showing up of course)? Because we never let down the tempo and forced them to play OUR game. We are an offensive powerhouse not a sit back and take your chance team. What the hell Vigneault? Come on, we had this game.
Looked like our team was stuck in molasses the whole last 50 minutes. Horrible coaching.

Maybe I need to do some checking, but I don’t remember it working out for us very often. A lot of fans seem to think that the Canucks have a fantastic D, but in the end I’d rate it only average with an above average goaltender. Makes for scary games when you try and rely on them instead of the whole team.
1 goal leads…no…sitting on 1 goal leads does not work this year. It has been proven over and over again

I agree. The first 2 periods were great in Game 1 but they did the sit on the lead thing in the third and lost that period. They played a great opening 10 minutes tonight then did the sit on the lead crap and let their foot off the gas pedal and let them back in. It’s a terrible way to play. You have to play the game that got you to this position which is offense offense offense. None of this sit back and let them come at us bullcrap.

VAN Generated allot of chances, Hawks just countered most with stick, bodies, and blocked shots, but none the less, they mad the chances. They played well, had my heart racing the whole game.
