I know this is odd since I'm a member of the community here but bear with me for a moment.
I just wanted you guys to know one thing: You're all awesome and unbelievably fun to watch the game with, wax poetic with and just all around cool people. A lot of stuff that's done here is focused on the crucial element of enjoying hockey in various states of sobriety instead of an emphasis on advanced statistics or an apathetic, half-hearted look at game 24 of 82. There's a general sense of community in here, which is what I love, and keeps me coming back. This goes out to you, all around the world (and it's with confidence I say that, thanks to the fine efforts of Yankee Canuck).
Thanks for letting this American Hockey fan who's still constantly learning more about hockey hang around all you experts as I add my two cents. And also thanks for not giving me a hard time when I had to pick my country in the Olympics that one day. (Also thanks for reading my somewhat dis-jointed game previews, those were hard to write holy crap Zandberg how do you do it?)
I know we're all going to feel for the Canucks for some time, but know that you helped someone become much more of a Canuck lifer AND become a better hockey fan all in the same posts.
Find me on twitter if you want to get more of my thoughts throughout the year, only with less punctuation and capitalization.
