@TC_Carling: O'Brien and Rome both will be re-evaluated tomorrow after leaving the game tonight with undisclosed injuries.

Awesome. IF both are unavailable to start in Calgary and beyond, it could mean Vancouver uses its final call up on either Oberg, McIver or Nycholat (ha, just kidding, the latter two are injured as well).

I don’t see it as a big deal… I mean it’s not like we were going to need to call up any more forwards. However are you sure that the call-up limit extends to the playoffs? The only potential concern would be a (god forbid) goalie injury and the need to call up Schneids. But we’re fucked in that event regardless.

I don’t know if it extends to the playoffs. I’ll check.

Yeah it doesn't count

From JP at Japers’ – It’s until the AHL affiliate is eliminated from the playoffs, and only non-emergency call-ups count against the four. So if a roster player gets hurt and a team recalls someone, it doesn’t count.

So they can call them up at will, assuming the trend continues of them dropping like flies.

Should just start playing Kesler and Burrows on D as well. They’d probably do better than some anyways.

Even if both SOB and Rome misses the next game,

the team don’t have to call up anyone if they let Salo and Ehrhoff back in. Supposedly both would play last night if it were a playoff game. And I think the team would value this Saturday game. It is against a heated rival and also the final game before the postseason begins. I won’t be surprised if the lineup on Sat is the same as the lineup for Game 1.

Injury Update:

Just a heads up that TC Carling’s twitter is reporting that Salo, OB, and Rome are all day-to-day and should be good to go for the playoffs, and Blastoff will play tomorrow night. Yikes.

ugh

Hope rayzor can play defence.

Can't watch the thinkspeak. Always sarcastic, barely ever mean. Just me.

Oh good grief, we’re rushing him back a game early. If this version of the Canucks doesn’t make you grab a bottle, nothing will.

BTW – welcome, thanks for joining the site!
