I can thank Amstel Light for making me hate this song. But the Blackhawks really make it worse. Really pulling for you guys!
"Can Geico really save you 15% or more on your car insurance? Is Mike Green really a forward in defenseman's clothing"
Kind of the same for you guys.
There will be no prob’ getting up for the Bruins I imagine. Maybe Boucher can outplay another good goalie….tho’ its going to be tough without the injured stars…
""I felt last year our guys were ready to take that next step," Vigneault said. "We weren't able to get through Chicago. I feel we're even more ready now. Having gone through that experience, having learned from it. . . we're going to be better prepared to face the challenge ahead of us."
LOL
This is pretty damn funny.
I went to a fight the other night and a hockey game broke out.
- Rodney Dangerfield
Heh, at least the players are good-humoured about it. It just makes me want to burn books.
I suspect that, when I’m like 83 and afflicted with full-on Alzheimer’s or something, all the staff at the nursing home will know me as the guy who can’t remember a single name or face, but who sporadically sings “doo doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo doodoodooweeooo….”.
An idea...
If the Canucks win the series at home (ie. Game 6), blast the crap out of this song when the game is over.
Give ’em the old switch-a-roo (Seinfeld reference).

Good thing they didn’t play this for Lou. I think he wouldve used those headphones as a weapon.
Love their reactions though. I HATE that song, but like SOB said, it’s catchy. Catchy and annoying songs are the worst kind of songs.

Seemed to me that SOB’s brain was going about as fast as it could there… “/innervoice I know i’m supposed to say I don’t like it, but goddamn it this is a catchy song! Makes me think of the Roxy” “/outervoice Yeah I hate it…uh…it’s pretty catchy tho…uh…i hate it…no i don’t…yes i do…awww coach I fucked up again!”

"you'll be playing in england the rest of your career" Sir Alex Burrows
Saw this on Global, lulz.

Love the song actually but...
I can totally understand why the players and fans don’t! I expect it will start getting on my nerves after this next round, hopefully I won’t hear it often. I heard the song before I knew CHI was using it, though.
I also like the song
I am boycotting it for the playoffs, and I sure as hell couldn’t listen to it for a long time after last year’s playoffs, but I do think it’s a great song. The fact that the Canucks have such strong reactions to it says something – that it is a catchy and effective goal song that everyone now associates with the Hawks.
The Canucks really need something like this (though WOOO is a good start). Seriously, “Holiday” by Green Day ain’t going to make any LA Kings cringe, is it?

I was kinda hoping they would keep the Odds as GM Place’s “house band”. I thought that was cool.

So…what, everytime the canucks score play Heterosexual Man?
"Hope you like pancakes, Norway..." Morgan Freeman
"you'll be playing in england the rest of your career" Sir Alex Burrows
Well…not sure they would have to go that far!
But they are used to playing covers…hell…they did it at Shane’s favorite bar!

Ugh that song sucks
Regardless of what team plays it…it’s annoying (the catchy ones usually are).
I do like their reactions though. Kesler’s was fantastic, calling out Kane’s goal afterwards? Good stuff.

Priceless
But I needed to clean my palette after hearing that … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olg_bm5FMOo
Hoping next year the Blackhawks can do a similar video about “Holiday.”
A man must have a code.
