Grabner In, Pettinger Out / Alberts Alberts Alberts

Looks like Matt Pettinger is the newest doghouse victim. He was on the ice for both Kings PP goals against, and was benched after Modin scored the 2nd Kings PP goal. Michael Grabner was practicing on a line with Rypien and Bernier today, so it looks like he will draw in for game 2. Despite all the backlash against Andrew Alberts over taking the 2 penalties last night, both costing the Canucks goals, consider this: -He was the only Canucks player to give LA PP opportunities last night. Where's the PK? The Canucks will take more penalties than that in the coming games. -Alain Vigneault said this about Alberts: "Alberts has done exactly what we expected when we got him. He's a depth defenceman who is physical and can move the puck." There you have it. AA has AV's vote. I didn't think Alberts was all that bad last night. I think he continually improves in a Canucks sweater. More on Alberts and a possible Aaron Rome return here.
