Hodgson Breaks Toe
Yeah, the kid is hurt again, this time from blocking a shot and breaking one of his toes. He will sit out of the Battalion lineup "in anticipation" of the playoffs. Hey good thing you checked twice again, hey Cody?

Fragile little shit, isn’t he?
Please allow me to adjust my pants, so that I may dance the good time dance, and lead the onlookers and innocent bystanders into a trance.
Fragile? He blocked a shot and broke a bone. Thats not fragile it is just unlucky.

He played over 100 games last season before his back gave. Most juniors play 1/3 less. So gotta take that into consideration.

Hope they don't rush him back
The broken toe probably isn’t too bad in the grand scheme of things. I hope they’re careful not to bring him back too soon, though; a less-than-healthy toe can alter how you distribute your weight, and that could be particularly problematic for someone with Hodgson’s history of back injuries.

I think ...
…. he needs more ice time!

Kid's got Yzerman's pain tolerance?
Remarkably, the Markham resident played nine games for Brampton despite the broken toe and scored eight goals with nine assists for 17 points.
“Obviously with a broken bone it’s a little tough when you’re skating because you’re putting pressure on it,” said the reigning CHL player of the year. “The main reason I have a walking cast now and am staying off the ice is to not put any strain on it so it can heal properly.”
“He’s the best junior player in Canada,” said Majors head coach Dave Cameron, who coached Hodgson with Canada’s world junior squad in 2009. “So when you add him, it’s the equivalent of adding three players, because he’s going to make the guys on the ice with him better. Then you throw in the fact he’s going to make the specialty teams better, so it has quite an effect.”
Hodgson helped the Battalion beat the Majors 4-0 on Feb. 26 with a goal and two assists. A week later, with the centre in a cast, the Majors dismissed Brampton 3-1.
“They beat us here and the beat us quite handily,” said Cameron after his team’s victory.
“I don’t want to take away from his wingers on a regular night, but on that night they looked like NHLers, and a big part of that is Cody Hodgson.”
Also note that while they struggled without him and rebounded nicely when he was back, since gone, they’ve lost their last 5 straight games…
