Nothing wrong to try to win over the spirit world to your side. Having a small tobacco and sage incense burner during the game, behind your goal, would also help.

Doesn't blow my mind.
I wish he would bring back the masks with the “C” for Captain on the chin or at least put a “C” on his new mask. Looks good, seeing a “C” on a Canucks player, even if they can’t have it on their jersey.

Way too busy…I prefer the old school simple mask he’s been sporting this season. It’s iconic…this new mask makes him look like any other goalie in the league (and…the colors don’t even go with the uniform)
Are you also a fan of Hiller’s mask?

Curious that there’s no C on this mask though. Maybe the NHL can let goalies be captains (officially) next season? I think it’s highly unlikely Lou would be stripped of his captaincy after one season, and a successful one (so far) at that. I agree that Kes is our next captain, but Lou is here for the next 12 years… At what point do you make Kes the captain?

well, at least now luongo has beaten andrew raycroft for the ugliest mask in the nhl

hiller’s mask is actually pretty cool, whats wrong with it? his new mask is half black and half white… id rather have hiller’s mask then facepalm’s powder blue olympic figure skater bobsled pos…

If i’m not mistaken, this is a fan-made mask. Someone posted it on the cdc forums saying they painted it and asking if they should send it to Luongo. The answer was a chorus of ’no’s and rightly so. He doesn’t play for the Blackhawks last I checked.

Sportsnet last night was saying that a friend of loungo’s desgined it (or son a friend, not sure) but that he’ll only be using at practice. He was trying to get some exposure to this designers work

The guy who did it is Francois Allaire’s son. He is just getting “started in the biz”, according to Lui on SNET last night.
The kid did the whole thing, including design…and yes…Lui will just wear it in practice.

Not exactly a fan of this particular design, but there’s no doubt the guy has talent. I’d like to see some other stuff.
If it’s just a practice mask, good on Lou for giving him some exposure. Lookin at the number of posts, it seems to be working.
