Bieksa named among the league's least valuable players
So in Nashville, they have a hockey team. And a hockey blog. And they posted a list of the league's least valuable players. Juice is on there. Here, take a gander. I think at times he has been brutal, but thats hardly indicative of him being one of the least valuable players in the league. Like any player, he has good spans where he plays quite well, then less than spectacular spans. Should he always be associated with mediocrity, Wellfed style (Well maybe its just me who will always associate Wellfed with mediocrity)? Outrage and/or agreement in the comments please.

The problem is Dirk uses BTN stats to back it up:
In 5-on-5, power play, and penalty killing work they’ve been on the ice for more Goals Against, and fewer Goals For, compared to how their team does when they are on the bench.
Just looking at the basic stats will tell you he’s off the mark in career totals for goals, assists, points, ES goals, PP goals, shooting % and TOI, and that includes 2007-08 where he only played 34 games due to injury (he’s at 43 games this season).
His injury of course factors into it, but this has not been a good season. He’s not been a force or a game changer as he was last year.

I can’t have any faith in this guys rankings…for hart he has daniel at the very bottom of the list and henrik not even on it…so, does he even watch hockey? I’m not saying daniel or henrik should be hart winners, I’m saying you cannot in any way put dank ahead of hank this year if you’ve been conscious thru the season.

Wait
Never mind, I’m a blind idiot. Ignore my previous comment.

Either way…any time I see this dribble drabble…I think of the Churchhill quote.
“There are lies, damn lies, and statistics…”
Juice was injured, and like Mike says, the guy used stats to paint his picture, rather than the more true way of the other way around.
He has been better since his return…playing the simple game the coaches asked for, and even though one of the games was a loss, I liked how he was jumping up in that game against the Isles.
Murphy ; "You finished with the Twins against Nashville, and AV elected to keep you guys together for today, were you happy with the decision?"
Mikael Samuelsson ; " I was happy with it...Oh yeah. Sure"
Not Churchill, but we know what you mean.
Way before his time (Mark Twain said it, thinking he was quoting Benjamin Disraeli).
Enough pedantry! Looks to me like Juice was on his way to making the same mistake he did after inking the big contract: trying to do more than he should have. The guy hasn’t relaxed into his game for two years, and he’s really got to do so to be his best.
I, for one, am still glad to see him back.
oops..!
Must have misheard it on the History Channel.!!
My mistake…thanks for the correction.

Among LA goalies.
Well, Quick maybe, but not Bernier yet: he hasn’t played enough at the NHL level (and he’s not likely to with Quick doing so well in LA) to prove himself as a -
What? Wrong Bernier? Then who did… Oh. OH! AHAHAHAHAAHAAAA!
