"I was thinking it would be cool to see a game on the road. I have been looking all over this atlas but I don't see Vancouver anywhere. What state is this sh*t in!?"
- Dallas Stars Forum
Bahaha, I love how I can still see the “Vancouver” on the rug in the bottom left.

downtown post-game celebrations: some girls brought a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Crosby:

Not gonna lie, that Luongo 1 finger photo’s my phone background.
Thanks for bringing it to the front, Sean!

Cry like the piece of shit you are, kane! (He played a good game, though, I thought… by far his best of the tournament… but he’s the douchiest of douches)

I’m pretty sure that silver medal is worth more than 20 cents

I wonder what is Brodeur thinking now? Does this gold leave a bad taste in his mouth, or is he just making the best out of the whole situation and is happy for the whole team?

I realise the importance of the game yesterday, but if someone could actually fill me in on how this game is “redemption,” that would be wonderful.
I’ve never heard anyone call it “redemption”, where are you hearing that?
The only thing I could think of is redemption for the round robin loss but that’d be a stretch IMO.
Poutine & Meatballs
I think it’s in reference to Luongo not being able to win ‘the big one’.
Please allow me to adjust my pants, so that I may dance the good time dance, and lead the onlookers and innocent bystanders into a trance.
Wow, I’m so out of it today and didn’t realize he was referring to the title of this thread.
Poutine & Meatballs
I say “redemption” as a means of captioning Luongo’s photo. I consider the gold medal as such for him.

I’m certainly a few weeks late adding a second reply, but:
“Redemption” implies that Luongo’s sense of honour was high, was somehow tarnished, and was then restored by winning a gold medal. I’m still trying to figure out where Luongo’s honour was tarnished.
A timely and deserved victory? Absolutely. Redemption? Not a chance.
