Bieksa back practicing, Mitchell still out

Willie Mitchell is still out with a concussion and hasn't even skated yet, which is really bad news. Good to hear that Bieksa is back at it though, he will help solidify our blue-line post-Olympics.

I’d probably do that. Bieksa would fit right in on the Leafs, so Burke might go for it. He’s loved Juice ever since he decked Fedor Fedorov in a bar fight in Manitoba.

It’s not so much that it was a dirty play that rankles me. It’s that he was never properly punished, but the most important rankle is that we’ve lost Willie (and for how long?).

It’s dirty. He hit him from behind into the boards. How is that not dirty? He only got 2 minutes but that’s still a penalty. And I think he only got 2 because Mitchell is so tough. If he stayed on the ice for a little while longer I’m sure Malkin would’ve gotten 5 and a game.
