"If anything, there's a comfort level, playing in this rink a lot," said Luongo. "Playing in front of these fans, I know what the atmosphere is going to be like. I'm pumped up and ready to go."

Haha you’ve been excited since right after the game last night.

There have been a ton of Luongo haters across this country and even in this city so this a golden opportunity to prove he is the man.
I think the comfort factor plays into this decision. Brodeur looked very uncomfortable right from the get go against the US and his history in GM place is far from glowing.
The one thing that will help the Canadian defense is that Luongo is very predictable, he barely touches or plays the puck unless he has to so at least the defense will know what to expect. With the trapazoid gone it looked like Brodeur got too cocky playing the puck and it hurt us badly.
I can’t wait to hear all the LUUUUUU’s again in GM place, it will hopefully add to the comfort factor for Lu and help the whole team feel confident. Let’s hope he gives us something to Luuuuuu about!
Go Canada!
