Entering The War Room
I will be a guest on NHL Home Ice's War Room on XM Radio shortly talking NHL trades and this, a site I made a few years back documenting nearly every NHL trade since the 1960's. If you have XM Radio check it out. I'm not even fully awake yet. This could be interesting...

I’ve asked them for the mp3 of the segment so we’ll see. I am not familiar with podcasts

Oh dang, I guess we could’ve listened online, too.
So don't get violent and don't get caught with your head down, the night she stole the moon.
We talked about trades of the 70’s, the Gilmour trade, why I made that site in the first place. I made it because I had all that info on paper in a binder. I had that binder at work to show it off to the guys and left it there. We had a fire in 2007 and it never burned the binder, but the water suppression got to it. I figured “damn I almost lost all that info!”. The site I originally printed it off of no longer existed. So I figured I’d put it all on a blogspot site. It took me probably over 48 hours to do it. That’s why these guys that interview me ask :“What possessed you to do that!?”
To me it’s simple. There is no site like that on the web except for mine. And you know those times where you make a bet with someone about a trade in the past…well now people can use that site as a reference. It’s for the hockey fan. I don’t make money off it. I have been trying to get NHL.com to “buy” it from me because I’d like to see it souped up and hosted on a site where it belongs…NHL.com. But they haven’t returned my emails.
I mentioned the insanity of the Lindros trade to Philly..and that was about it.
I wanted to talk about Pat Quinn’s wizardry in building the Canucks team that went to the Finals in 1994 but we ran out of time.
So now you don’t need the mp3! I’ve told you everything ;)

That is awesome. I remember how pissed I was that Robert Dirk got traded.
Please allow me to adjust my pants, so that I may dance the good time dance, and lead the onlookers and innocent bystanders into a trance.
What was so great about Dirk? Tough guy? Reliable?

Yes and yes. At least I thought so. Man, Quinn fleeced St Louis a couple of times back in the day.

Did you make that blog before you got married? 48 hours, jeebus!

Actually, my wife helped me. I begged.
