If they played any other team than Toronto then there was no way they were coming back down 3-0 save for St. Louis which they’ve done this year. The Columbus game they did well to respond to goals from the Jackets but they once again allowed the team to take the lead early. If it wasn’t for a few breaks in the third (the penalty which led to the PP goal and the obviously flukey game winner) they could’ve easily lost that game.

The absence of scoring from the top line just shows how weak our bottom 6 has been. Line 2 has been fairly consistent and dependable but when that top line isn’t clicking our team is in deep trouble. Hopefully Gillis pulls the trigger and gets a third line center that can hopefully spark Bernier into being somewhat productive. And let’s hope Henrik goes easy in the Olympics and returns to 100% when he gets back.
