Over the past few months we've seen an uptick in negativity around these here interwebs. If it's about the Canucks that's fair - they are somewhat maddening after all - but not when it comes to each other. We've let the inmates run the asylum for a little bit and we (probably me more than Sean honestly) are as much to blame as some of the guilty parties. We've been patient and diplomatic, but it can't come at the expense of our community or the enjoyment of our regular (and damn sexy) readers and commentators.
just a few reminders one reminder:
When you join NM, you do so (I hope!) because you want to be part of our collective efforts to examine, celebrate, debate and decry all things about the Canucks and the NHL. It's what we as fans do and SBN is cool enough to provide us with a big stage and fun tools to make it happen. Sometimes these chats can get tense, but there's zero reason it has to resort to name calling and 100+ comment threads of "no it's your fault" over and over again. It doesn't mean you can't be sarcastic or biting in certain situations, but flat out attacking someone else isn't acceptable and we can't and won't foster the lowest common denominator.
So if you can't enjoy the discussion, share your voice and enjoy the game by these very basic rules, might we suggest the CDC or just sitting in a room by yourself? We don't enjoy wielding the ban hammer, but it's there for exactly this reason.
Now back to your regularly scheduled score predictions, gif parties, statistical analysis, Arcade Fire adulation, Corsi love, TWSS and ongoing debate of whether Kevin Bieksa is a tool of the devil or Jesus wearing #3.
