Happy Festivus to all. Firstly, the Airing of Grievances: 1. Ive noticed around these parts that this hockey-oriented blog has been lacking in chicks. Boys, get out there, invite your ladyfriends, wives, mistresses, Chinese masseuses! Its a goddamn sausage fest. 2. NM has been lacking in posts exalting Alexandre Motherfucking Burrows. Do you heathens not realize the skill and tenacity of the French Canadian left winger?! Not to mention the pugnacity and truculence! And the belligerence, so much belligerence! We all know the Hart Trophy will be going to him this season, so treat him like the superstar that he is! 3. This is my final point. Over time here, NM posters have deviated from the normal rabble of "hockey this, hockey that" and have discussed the fine arts. Namely, music. One band has been discussed over and over again, largely because its quality (or lack thereof) and its ability to polarize posters here at NM. Too many times have the good, righteous posters of NM been subject to the cacophony that is Arcade Fire! Arcade Fire is not worthy of your accolades and that is why I suggest in the new year, all posters promoting or simply not deriding Arcade Fire be punished in the form of bear hugs and super tickles with EXTREME prejudice!
