Trevor Linden To Run Section Of Olympic Torch Run

From CBC.ca:

Trevor Linden, one of the most popular players in Vancouver Canucks history, will run a leg of the Olympic torch relay.

Linden, who retired from the NHL on June 11, 2008, agreed Monday to run in the cross-Canada trek, which begins Oct. 30 in Victoria.

The 106-day, 45,000-kilometre relay will visit every province and territory before Vancouver plays host to the Olympic Winter Games in February.

I'd like to correct that statement. Linden is THE MOST POPULAR player in Vancouver Canucks history.

I saw somewhere that Steve Nash might run a leg, as well.

I've seen enough to know that I've seen too much.

He is, indeed. Don’t remember which one, but he’s confirmed. If the torch is coming to the island, he’ll probably do it here.
