Hat tip to Mr. Loat and his tweet on this one. The Canucks had lost McIver to the Ducks through the waiver wire last season. McIver played 18 games for the Ducks, and then in February, Gillis traded Mike Brown to the Quacks to get the rough-and-tough defenceman back.
McIver was a restricted free agent. The terms of the contract have not been revealed yet.
