JP Barry, who is in Stockholm to attend Mats Sundin's wedding AND to pry an answer about "Sudden's" playing future told The Hockey News that he doesn't think that Mats will wait until Xmas to make a decision. He also said that he doesn't anticipate Sundin being ready for training camp. THN's article also states the obvious about Vancouver's chances of signing Sundin again: slim to none. The Canucks have limited money left and seem to have moved on from the chances of signing him. I don't see Gillis clearing that much cap space to sign Matsy-boy.
THN anticipates a retirement announcement and so do I, ending this saga once and for all. Mats has bigger things to worry about now, no pun intended.
