Big tip to Hockeyville88 for finding and posting this video at Canucks.com. This is a great clip of the Canucks drafting the Sedins, the team going to Sweden to play in a 4-team tournament, and that mishap at the end of the clip.
The Sedins sure beefed up over time. Or did they start wearing smaller helmets?

steroids!?

That kind of growth just don’t look natural!

So Davison and Ossi are gone-zo. Meh.

Ossi hasn’t been claimed yet has he?

The world would be a far worse place if the Sedins were on separate teams.

Yeah no kidding. I wonder if they’d crack 70 points each away from eachother. I like that audio of Burke working the Hawks(?) for the 3rd pick.

I think they would get 50-60 apart. I have my doubts if they are actually human. My reasoning:
1) I thought Swedish twins were just a myth.
2) Their voices are somewhat robot-y.
3) They know where the other is at all times.

In my opinion, watching the Sedins play together is hockey at its best. Lots of lines have chemistry, but has there ever been a duo with even half as much chemistry as the Sedins do?

Yeah…

-Gretzky-Kurri
-Naslund-Bertuzzi
-Spezza-Heatley
-Lemieux-take your pick

Yeah, it is always a treat watching them Twins play. And they manage to stay healthy too (knock on wood). I hope the Sedins-Burrows chemistry re-ignites again this year.

Would you say those guys are/were on the same level as the Sedins?

None of those pairs are even close. What the Sedins do out there, has not and won’t be duplicated til there is another set of twins playing together.

They really do do alot of esp-type stuff, don’t they. What awesome treats we’ve had as Canuck fans:
Bure’s brilliance; ‘94 run; Sedin magic; Louie. Too bad it’s been so few and far between.

Gretzky and Kurri? DId you watch them play? Pretty insane. Do they equal the Sedins? Pretty close.
Remember, you said “half as much chemistry”

……..and of course ’82 as well.

not in the “on ice vision” category for starters
