2010 Provincial Olympic Team - Team British Columbia
We at IC were bored and decided to see what would happen when you break Canada's 2010 Olympic team into provincial teams. We started with Team British Columbia.
Coach- Tom Renney
Goaltenders:
1. Carey Price
2. Jason Labarbera
3. Wade Dubliewicz

Probably should have included Scott Niedermayer on the list since his formative years were spent in Cranbrook. If you have any additions or if you think Kyle was way off, lets hear it.

Love the Defence! The forwards and goalies are less than stellar as a whole though. Bring back Joe Sakic!
How can you have Rob Neidermayer and not Scott? That’s crazy. He’s the third best BC player of all time. And yes, bring back Joe Sakic. And maybe Evander Kane should be considered to make the list, even if he hasn’t played in the NHL yet?

I snuck Scott onto Team Alberta
haha. Good call. Had Scott under Team Alberta (born in Edmonton which is clearly just a technicality) since his formative years were spent in B.C. (Cranbrook, right?)

Yes, that was the whole basis for the talk about how the Canucks might try and sign him this summer with the idea that he would like to be close to home. He spends all his summers in BC with his family.

Could you imagine....
Sure Anaheim, I’m not going to retire. Anaheim plans accordingly. Then he signs with Van city.

That’s what I was hoping for. Then the Sedins got their $$$ and I knew we couldn’t afford Niedermayer anyways. Well, the good Niedermayer that is.
