On This Day In Canucks History: June 3

June 3rd, 1997: Vancouver unveils yet another new logo and uniform. I believe you're familiar with it:

The frequently hated logo "features a stylized 'C' with a killer whale bursting through ice to form the highest point of the letter." The C stands not just for Canucks but also apparently for standing "...what it means to be a Canuck – character, commitment and courage." Riiight.

Who designed the logo? Well pick your poison as the Canucks cited all of the following: Canuck Management, Players and Ownership, Canucks Fans and Season Ticket Holders, the National Hockey League, David Youngson (Creative Director, Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment) and Brent Lynch (local artist from White Rock, BC).
