Testing the Canucks Faithful

Over the years it has been easy to give up on this team.   Whether it be the late season clapses of last season, '03 regular season & post season.

So what makes this team so different ? ? ?

Its simple: LEADERSHIP

Since '94 I have never felt more comfortable in our team in the Playoffs.  With such players like Luongo, Mitchell, Kesler, Bieksa I always find myself at ease even after a big loss like we had in Game 2.  Their were many highs & lows throughout this past season yet when it was all finished we did what some people thought was impossible in January .. win the NorthWest Division.

This team has shown time and time again that it is capable of doing what every fan wants "win a championship" due to its attitude and leadership within that locker room.  I am not saying this will happen with this team this season but damn it feels nice to not "know" we are playing above our heads and will be out of the playoffs soon.  This team is capable of sooo much more and to all of you waiting the ride is just beginning.

Star-divide

So going into Round 2 Game 4 what is your mood about the team? Do you still have shades of '03 in your head when we lost to Minny or is it something more?

I feel its something more ... I still feel like this series with the Blackhawks will last 6 games and will be hard fought with our experience(age) being the deciding factor in some tough fought battles.

Your Thoughts ?

I agree completely. The leadership on this team is gold and there are no reasons to panic. They know what the winning formula is. A lot of credit goes to Vigneault for the style of play that he taught this team. I love the trapping style.

It’s impossible to think of ‘03 with this team. Cloutier & Crawford alone tell you the story then. I’m never terribly at ease with a loss but these guys still find ways to surprise me. No matter what it’s a good spring to be a Canucks fan (and recruit new ones too)
