Around SBN: NFL Roundtable: Which Draft Pick Is Most Likely To Bust?

Bettman aside, between this and Matt Cooke, it's probably pretty easy for some of us to jump on the Pittsburgh bandwagon.

That was a great clip. The guitar story with Bourdon and Downie was pretty funny.
Not enough to make me root for the Penguins though.

Matt Cooke had 3 assists tonight. Yeesh.

It’s hard to cheer for any of them…as my daughter put it, ‘all the teams left are so, douchy.’

That was beautiful. The Penguins are my favorite Eastern team, and I don’t apologize for it. Great mascot, great logo, the team is exciting to watch, and the city is worthy of an NHL franchise, unlike their opponent…

Ahhh…I think you are a little harsh on Whalers fans. Of all the teams located in the south…the Whalers, Stars and the SoCal teams are probably th eonly teams that are worth leaving there. The rest of ‘em; Atlanta, Nashville, Tampa, Florida, Phoenix, send ’em north to places like Hamilton, Winnipeg, St. John’s, Seattle, Portland

by GZ Expat on May 22, 2009 3:40 PM PDT up reply actions

Ah, but I liked the Whalers. I even still have a Whalers jersey. The Hurricanes are not the Whalers. The Whalers are dead and gone. But otherwise I agree with your list…

Go Radulov! haha…..
The Preds should rise, yes. How’s the fanbase?

by Sean Zandberg on May 24, 2009 2:53 AM PDT up reply actions

fanbase is growing, slowly but surely

On the Forecheck commenters are still a work in progress, but for online fans, many use the twitter group @Predfans. Really wish they would switch to OTF. As for fans as a whole, check out this video. If all hockey fans would see that video, no one would ever say that the Preds have no fans.

Thanks for the link to the clip. The only problem with that is that it’s Game 4 of the playoffs. You know how many fans jump on the wagon when a team makes the playoffs or is winning.
So the Preds have to start winning…a lot.

I have lots of reason to believe that we will be a lot better this year. With rising star Colin Wilson coming in, Pekka Rinne starting the whole year, our stellar defense, and Steve Sullivan possibly returning for a healthy year, the future looks bright.

A lot brighter for sure.
Dan Hamhuis is from my home town BTW. Good kid. Went canoeing with him and his uncle before his first Preds training camp. That was a crazy time indeed.

And what did he think of you being a Canucks fan? haha

We didn’t talk about that. He talked about being on Coach’s Corner in the Finals when the Avs played the Devils. He talked about how classy Joe Sakic was when he met him and about how Scott Stevens was his fave player.
