''Any time you get a wake-up call from old Willie Mitchell -- he decided to make some comments that fired me up,'' Kane said. ''He said I couldn't play five-on-five, and I had three goals playing five-on-five tonight, so ask him about that!''
I hate hearing stuff like this. Next time stick to the cliches, Willie.

The numbers don’t support Ol Willie, but I do.
Kane is a perimeter player with some inflated totals. He murdered us this series, but besides scoring some timely goals, he was invisible for half the games, and takin stupid penaltys for the rest.
Kane will have a good career, but Toews will pass him by as a more complete player. Small, soft and whiny is a not a good combination for sustained success in the league. Kane belongs in the Ray Whitney/Mike Comrie/Michael Nylander grouping. Proven scorer who never really lays it on the line.
My post won’t be popular, but time will tell. I bet Kane won’t be lightin up the Wings, and will revert to showin himself in negative stats.
