Game 1 of Canucks-Blackhawks Series Starts Thursday at 6:00

That would be Pacific Time. Game 2 will air Saturday. There are reports that broadcasters who hold the rights to the games wanted the weekend games to start earlier (as in 4 or 5 PM PST) but the Canucks told them to suck it later.

More on that here.

Hat tip to Kesrows for finding the article.

Two days without the Hawks is going to drive me nuts – I pity you guys for having to wait so long..

Ah, you just become immune to it after a while

by Sean Zandberg on Apr 28, 2009 5:39 PM PDT reply actions

It helped having you guys to watch as well as the other series. Even now…Rangers/Capitals going into the third tied at one in a game seven? Goooood shit (and go Caps)

Common Ground..

This game is solid.. I’m glad I’m not a fan of either team because I’d of the stress.. but regardless.. Go Caps

It’s been the Sean Avery show up to this point. But now the Caps are coming on.

I sure hope the Devils hang on to beat the Canes.

Hey, I’m reading this!!! Curse the devils!

by Andrea's evil twin on Apr 28, 2009 8:21 PM PDT up reply actions

Indeed they are! They were 39-1-1 when leading after 2 periods in the regular season!
Damn. And I like the Devils too. Eric Staal is a fiend!

Sergei Federov! Are you kidding me? Dude roofed that something sick, like it’s friggin 1996 again.

Good stuff, go Caps.

Reminded me

Of an Old Pavel Bure shot. No chance for Lundquist to react

First time in the Rangers history they have lost a series after leading 3-1.

Wow, even the Poison song they’re playing now can’t bring me down from this. I LOVE watching the Rangers fail. Friggin awesome.

Shit, the Canes tie it in the final 90 seconds. Pitkanen made an incredible play to keep it alive. Game seven going into the OT…niiiice.

SNAP! A brother Staal scores and the Canes are in the lead with a minute left. Holy fucking hell. The rock is silent….

Gonna be a long off-season in New Jersey…

by Metzgerhau on Apr 28, 2009 7:16 PM PDT up reply actions

My word.

It’s almost a shame they’re playing Boston next…

What a great first round. The Caps win their game seven in the final four and the Canes do it in the final 80 seconds. That’s just sick. What a great first round.

Unbelievable turn of events in each game. Yeesh, late heroics.

Henrik Lundqvist is sick. Poor guy.

Hey Naslund! How’s your time in New York? Having a great time?

by Sean Zandberg on Apr 28, 2009 7:39 PM PDT reply actions

Is it worth mentioning that he had Zherdev and Antropov as his linemates? Talk about a reclamation line. Nazzy did had a decent first round but the twilight of his career is burning bright and I’d be lying if I’m not a bit happy he has to watch his old squad take a run now.

He claimed he wanted the Rangers all along. Well, welcome to the party pal.

There are some things that can never be forgiven. ’94 is one of them. Not sad to see the Rangers out.

by Metzgerhau on Apr 28, 2009 7:50 PM PDT up reply actions

Did you guys notice that 2 of the Canes’ goals went under Brodeur’s blocker arm?
