I'm gonna get you high today, 'cause it's Friday
Around the horn this morning in Vancouver land:
- Bieksa is looking forward to the Sharks litmus test tomorrow. The rest of the roster isn't scared either.
- On the importance of drafting and having a farm that doesn't blow.
- "It’s like the ‘before’ picture in the Jenny Craig commercials" says Kesler of Hordichuk's slim figure that graced the front pages yesterday.
- Tom Benjamin thinks the Flames made a mistake in moving Lombari.
- Kurtenblog's suggestion for GM Place music? "I Got 5 On It" by Luniz.
- "The Shift" is now available online for you to share with all of your Wild friends.
- In case you missed it, the Crazy Canucks had their latest podcast before the deadline.
- If he wasn't playing hockey, Ryan Johnson would be a struggling musician. Dream the dream tough guy.
- It's a good think Nycholat ended up in Colorado since he hearts Ray Bourque (p. 21). Hell, may as well go to page 40 and realize that you, like I, love Gina Luongo (seriously our captain is unstoppable). And a quick detour to page 30 will reveal that, yes, Brut is the essence of man. Piss off Old Spice.
- And finally, while there's been some unkind words thrown at Pyatt these days, let's collectively rejoice his pasting our friend Cal Buttercup, complete with priceless WTF face:

They say a picture is worth a thousand words
but three letters is enough for that one.
The best part of that shift was Demitra coming in late and shooting the puck over the net and out of play.

Demo never misses; he’s just picky when it comes to showcasing his raw skillz.

why would kesler talk trash about the jokinen trade? lombardi was fast as hell, but had cement for hands. you know, i can seriously see kesler getting dumped from the US olympic team in favour of…… david moss. Kess just seems to be a little overhyped in my books, looks to be full of himself and doesn’t have the heart of mosser

Haha. You don’t watch Canucks games do you? Kesler is all heart and the defensive reins have finally been taken off him. There’s a reason why Booby Clarke wanted him, and at $1.9 million per season we’re feeling he’s a steal now!
I don’t like players trash talking other teams. No need to provide Calgary with any extra motivation.
