Vigneault close to putting Burrows on the power play
From The Province:
"I've been trying to spread the ice time out and he's one of our best penalty killers, if not the best," Vigneault said. "But I am thinking about putting him on the power play. We may get to that point.
"I'm not at that point yet, but I'm closing in on it."
You know Burrows would succeed on the power play, but are there enough guys to take and do an efficient job with Alex's "former" ice time on the PK should another scoring role promotion occur?
Ryan Johnson is magic on the PK. Pyatt is possibly underrated in that role.
I don't know. I still have my head in a fog over last night's triumph. You decide!

I don’t understand why Kesler can take on all three roles but Bureows can’t. Look at the stats… Burr played less minutes than Kes in each of the last four games, on average about 5 minutes less. That’s a huge difference. (The Chicago game was kinda screwy with all the PIM, but still the difference is huge if you discount that game). They both seem to exert similar levels of effort whenever they’re on the ice.Is Kes in way better shape or something? I say if Kesler can do it, so can Bureows.
By the way, at first I accidentally wrote Bureows as a typo, but I’ve decided I will be calling him that from now. The Quebecois Rocket.
