Make of it what you will but, along with Sean Avery and Tom Preissing, he hit the waivers this afternoon. Vigneault would need his skull examined if he was lugging around nine healthy defensemen anyway.

If he's truly gone, I'll miss him and his turnovers tremendously.

Aw, I didn’t think Nycholat was all that bad. He just needed more time on with the boys.

I forget what game of the January losing streak it was where he fired a pass down the middle of the ice in his own zone and the opposing team pounced on it and scored five seconds later. It will be my lasting image of him.

And I’d agree he needed more time with the club, but he’s not a rookie. He’s a borderline NHLer over his career and he got passed over by Davison. And who knows maybe he’ll go down to Manitoba and hone his art of the giveaway in front of Schneider to make him that much better of a goalie. See? Win/win.

Still better than Steve McCarthy or Rory Fitzpatrick

You mean the All-Star snubbed Rory the Great? RorLORD?! Never, never never.

But you’re right on McCarthy; I hope the KHL is treating him nicely.

OK, what Canucks D-man wasn’t coughing the puck up in January? None of them could get the damned puck out of their zone!
