Canucks sign Taylor Ellington
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Canucks signed drafted the approximately 6', 200 pound defenceman 33rd overall in 2007. He currently plays for theEverett Silvertips of the WHL and is a native of Victoria BC.
From Hockey's Future:
Ellington is a steady and reliable defender who will rarely stick out to observers, a great trait for a defensive d-man. Ellington is still a few years of development away from the NHL where he should be a top six blue liner.

No problemo. Pretty bad, my first comment on here (after reading the blog since you guys started it), and I’m being a dick, correcting typos.
I’ll try to add more substance in future comments.
You had better, asshole, or I’ll ban you! :)
I kid. Look forward to your input, teach.

And even if he could be a depth player… we got our starting six, then ossi, then davi, then mciver, then baumgartner, then probably rahimi and heshka who have been plugging away in manitoba, and maybe even ftizgerald. So that puts him at 11 to 14 on the depth chart in my books. Heaven help us should we need him.
