Vigneault defends Ohlund's recent trips to the penalty box
From the Vancouver Sun: In the Canucks last five games, veteran defenceman Mattias Ohlund has picked up seven minor penalties -- three for slashing, three for hooking and one for holding. When O'Brien was committing similar fouls, he was scolded by the team and eventually banished to the press box.
"The one thing with Mattias is that I never doubt his intentions and his intentions are good," responded Vigneault when asked about Ohlund's recent transgressions.
I guess Shane O'Brien's penalties were not excusable then. Well, O'Brien running his mouth off about management didn't help either. It also didn't help that the Canucks started winning without OB in the lineup, as AV will stick with the team that works.
