Babych Hired To Assist Gagner As Director Of Player Development
"We don’t have a lot of defencemen on our coaching staffs, here or in Manitoba," Mike Gillis said.
"We just wanted an extra set of eyes and a voice. He’s joining us on a part-time basis. He will work mostly with Dave in understanding where our defence prospects are and creating a course of action for them. He’ll watch them and provide advice based on his experience."
Good on ya, Mr. Babych. This guys is a class act. I've met him twice now, albeit briefly, and he's always an approachable guy.

Awesome!
I love Dave Babych! I am not sure, but I think he is the last Canuck d-man to score a hat trick? Also, great to bring a good moustache into the organization – now we just need to get Harold Snespts involved with the team in some capacity!
YES!!!
Also, we should trade for Ian White and George Parros.

Well…the guys that can grow one…not sure we want a repeat of that whispy thing Crosby was sporting last year!
The earliest use of the word with the spelling we recognize today is found in "L'Acadie: or Seven Years' Exploration in British America" by James Edward Alexander, published in 1849:
We also met a lusty fellow in a forest road with a keg of whisky slung round him who called to us 'Come boys and have some grog, I'm what you call a canuck"
yeah..all he needed was a van and a box of candy

Dave Babych is awesome.
Fun fact: I touched his mustache once. (His son went to school with me)
Great guy, good to see him back with the Canucks.
