What do these guys all have in common?
Ryan O'Reilly
First to guess correctly wins a pint of virtual beer and my highest esteem.
I hate this stupid rule about the minimum length of a fanpost so I will now proceed to fill that requirement with meaningless blah blah blah and yadda yadda yadda as I have already said all there is to say. But still not enough words, there now I have enough.

I’m clueless so far.
They all played for Canada in the Under 18 Championships is all I know. (I think)
They all think that Cody Hodgson was shafted and that Mike Gillis is overrated and that Dave Nonis is underappreciated and the yoata is the wisest canuck fan out there?

They’ve all wore a letter at the WJC?

We also met a lusty fellow in a forest road with a keg of whisky slung round him who called to us 'Come boys and have some grog, I'm what you call a canuck"
They have all been finalists for the CHL player of the year?

hmmmm...so, its a WJT thing...
They are all guys who have led the WJers in scoring while playing with teammates from Junior under a Full Moon after their fans have held a pagan Solstice ritual in their name to imbue their sticks with the power of the Gods!
(Yes…nailed it!)
..or they have all made the cover of an SI issue on NHL rookies…

Got it…shut er down.
They have all been mentioned in rumours as players going the other way for Ilya Kovalchuk!

Bingo
They’re all eligible to play but won’t?
All of them are still eligible for the WJC but won’t be playing, mostly because they are just too damn good!
This is nothing new of course, Canada has been dealing with that handicap for years at what is otherwise for the most part a best on best international tournament, but they still have a dominant record despite it. Just something I make a yearly tradition of doing, making this list .
This is a particularly tough year for them that way though with so many great 18-19 y/o players playing in the NHL. Imagine this year’s team with those guys on it along with the likes of Hall, Eberle, Ellis, etc, would make winning their record 6th in a row an almost lock, still our B teams usually get the job done anyway.
Go get’em boys!
You owe me a fucking beer! Damn it! That was a lot of wear and tear on the brain! ha!

They’ll all be in front of a TV watching the game they COULD be playing in?
Some teams , like the Canucks, play that night tho’…

Pay attention
to those names though, probably the core of the 2018 Oly team, if not part of the ’04.
