Grabner Re-assigned To Manitoba, Demitra Going Home
Mike Gillis has announced today that the Canucks have re-assigned Michael Grabner to the Moose. This is reportedly a conditioning stint. Grabner has 2 goals and 5 points in 9 games with the Canucks this season, before he wrecked his ankle playing soccer in a pre game warm-up several weeks ago.
Pavol Demitra is returning to his homeland of Slovakia to see a specialist "that he is comfortable with" about his ailing shoulder.
"He had this massage therapist guy who works with the Slovakian national team and he said the massage therapy helped him out a lot," Mike Gillis said today. "So, he asked if he could do that and we said yes."
It has me wondering if there is something wrong with our medical staff. See: Cody Hodgson.
Was that a great game last night or what? That had the feeling of a playoff game. It made my current headache worth it.
I'm not going to recap the game, but I will say this: Great effort by the Canucks after crapping the bed against the Ducks. They can beat any NHL team when they play like that. Random: A big hat-tip to Aaron Rome, who played so well and really deserves a spot on the Canucks' roster.
Oh, and I'd never forget this guy:

I missed the third last night for a party, but that sure was a purty goal.
Now drink with me deeply of the bourbon, scotch, and rye until such time as we are fighting drunk.

Definitely Game O’ the Year for me. Meeting a big challenge. Let’s see if the boys have figured out how to bring this against a team like the Blues…tho’ that 6-1 thrashing should make easy for them to get up for tomorrow.
Chuckles, I thought SOB had a good game last year. Ovie takes such long shifts, that there were several parts of the game where the 3rd line and SOB and Ehrhoff were out there against them, and they did a pretty good job of it, even though they were out there for Semin’s goal. Still think Luongo was guilty of admiring the hit just like everyone else!
Rome should definitely stay. I like him being the ying to Juice’s yang. Except for one pretty bad T/O I can recall…the one where Bieksa was forced to take a penalty, he had a solid game. It’s good that it also sends the message that if you play well in Winnipeg, you get a chance in Vancouver.
Not to change the subject or anything, but check out a show I am just watching on Nat Geo TV called…“Mongolian Terror Trout”, about a fish called the Tiamen,
The really big one’s are two feet long, and their heads and mouths, complete with some awesome teeth, make them look like River Sharks!
Northern Mongolia sure is purty too…
Peace
The earliest use of the word with the spelling we recognize today is found in "L'Acadie: or Seven Years' Exploration in British America" by James Edward Alexander, published in 1849:
We also met a lusty fellow in a forest road with a keg of whisky slung round him who called to us 'Come boys and have some grog, I'm what you call a canuck"
Can’t say I’m really sold on Rome yet. He seems to be in that limbo where he is too good for the AHL but not quite a regular NHLer (kind of like Cory Schneider).
That being said I think if AV adjusted the defensive pairings a bit it might be helpful for Rome. Every major defensive lapse against the Caps seemed to happen to either Bieksa or Rome. So pairing them together might not be the smartest.
I’d like to see Mitchell and Salo kept together and Ehrhoff playing with Bieksa, then a 3rd pairing of O’Brien/Rome or O’Brien/Edler when he comes back.

I think the SOB is going to play a unique game. I am deeply impressed by them.I am keen interested in games especially cricket. I will establish my own team after my testking HP0-J25 and the other two important exams testking 642-845 as well as the testking 000-223 exams. So i have to wait for a few days.
